Creating a Group Evaluation Form to Measure Program Effectiveness: IMPULSA

May 14, 2009 at 7:23 pm

Besides providing the JA More than Money student pre- and post-test, Impulsa included a group evaluation form. Volunteers were asked to record the test results and the differences between the pre- and post-test for each student, and return the form to the Impulsa office. Notes for volunteers were included in the program guide to assist with the process.

The use of a group evaluation form could help assess the program’s overall effectiveness and become a valuable component of PR efforts. Evaluation results are an influential tool to share with sponsors, media contacts, educators, volunteers, and government officials. The challenge is to motivate volunteers to complete the procedure and return the information.
